WHAT WE DO:

Appalachian Peace Paws Rescue is a small group of dedicated volunteers who work together to change the lives of all of the animals that they meet!

We believe in educating the public on the importance of TNR, what to do if they find an orphaned animal, & general information in regards to the welfare of all animals. Aside from our online presence, we also accept invitations to give presentations to groups wanting to learn more about animal welfare.

TNR is an essential part of our mission. We work with the community to help implement TNR programs for community cats in order to reduce the number of homeless animals ending up in shelters & reduce the number of euthanasias from overcrowding. (If you would like more information on our TNR program, click the TNR tab!)

Our foster program helps reduce the number of animals that are being euthanized by taking animals from crowded shelters. We also take fosters that can’t be cared for in a shelter setting, such as; orphaned animals, domestic rabbits, reptiles, amphibians, pocket pets, & more.
